What I can offer

To help you achieve your goals in life and be your true-self, as a person-centred counselling therapist I will provide…

Security

I offer a safe and secure space for you to explore, identify and work through your problems, challenges and difficult feelings.  All of our work is confidential (there are some legal exceptions), all of which is explained to you during our first initial session.

I also have full Counselling & Psychotherapy insurance in place with Holistic Insurance Services.

Discovery

Through our counselling sessions I can assist in helping you to discover yourself and understand more about how you operate and why you react the way you do to people or events around you.   As well as uncovering coping mechanisms which may equip you going forward.

Time

Some people simply like processing time, life may be good for you – but you may enjoy the time to focus on you and you only in our sessions perhaps to help take steps to feel even better.   Time between us is also there to support you through whatever you might be experiencing.

Reflection

Rethink situations and help process your challenges – to help make your life feel manageable, and more rewarding.  Having reflection time and space in counselling sessions allows you to explore and verbalise which helps to understand yourself and those around you more.

SESSIONS

I WILL PROVIDE…

Unconditional Positive Regard (UPR)

As a trained counselling therapist I will provide a totally non-judgemental, accepting and valuing counselling environment, allowing you to be free of any judgement, criticism or evaluation.

This allows you to explore your feelings and experiences more fully, which means that perhaps by you hearing yourself and reflections you may become clearer on aspects of yourself which have remained hidden or denied.

I WILL PROVIDE…

Congruence

In our sessions I am totally myself, and do not hide behind a professional façade or academic language.  I am committed to understanding and respecting all clients and what they bring to sessions.

It’s important for clients to feel we have trust – and this is achieved by me being authentic, honest and ensuring we have an equal therapeutic working environment.

I WILL PROVIDE…

Empathetic Understanding

I naturally offer empathy through my ability to emotionally understand what clients are feeling and share with me and will show all clients the importance of being heard and listened to.

I respond in appropriate ways tailored to individual needs to offer support and understanding to all clients feelings, struggles and strengths.

LET’S START

Would you like a free, no obligation 20-minute call to explore how could counselling could help you?

I offer a 20-minute exploratory telephone call with all new clients, this gives us both a chance to experience each other and for us to have a look at where you are in life and what support I might be able to help.

Following on from this, sessions are then booked and diarised – each personal one to one session will be 50 minutes.

Couples Therapy sessions are for one hour and 15 minutes – POA.

Please contact me direct to ask for any further information about fees.
